Clayton County Broadband Project – Digital Equity and Literacy Initiative

Clayton County seeks to bridge the digital divide by creating the Office of Digital Equity.  The Office of Digital Equity will engage the services of a consultant to create a Digital Equity Strategic Plan.  This plan will outline opportunities to make equitable access to and utilization of the digital economy for the residents of Clayton County.

The Office of Digital Equity will work with other agencies and county stakeholders to establish clear goals, co-design solutions, and measure progress.  The digital equity office will create a permanent administrative unit to prioritize disadvantaged groups and neighborhoods, build trust, and develop interventions to benefit people that struggle to compete digitally. This office will allow the county to be more in touch with the community’s needs.
